Building Air To Port Logistics was never about simply buying a truck and hauling freight. From the beginning, our vision was to become a trusted cross-border transportation partner capable of serving manufacturers, automotive suppliers, pharmaceutical companies, and time-sensitive freight moving between the United States and Canada.

That meant earning trust — not just from our customers, but from government agencies on both sides of the border.

Voluntary, but necessary

Many of these programs are completely voluntary. We chose to pursue them anyway because we believe our customers deserve more than a carrier that can simply cross the border. They deserve a carrier that understands the regulations, protects their freight, minimizes delays, and operates with integrity.

Every certification required us to examine our business from the ground up. We documented security procedures, developed detailed operating policies, created audit trails, implemented chain-of-custody practices, strengthened driver training, and built processes that would stand up to government review. We learned an entirely new language of compliance, customs procedures, security requirements, and border operations.

The hard moments

There were moments when it felt overwhelming. Applications were returned with questions. Additional documentation was requested. Procedures had to be revised. We encountered delays, waited for approvals, and sometimes questioned whether we were making things harder than they needed to be.

But every challenge reinforced why these programs exist in the first place. The goal isn't to make transportation more difficult — it's to create a safer, more secure, and more efficient supply chain for everyone involved.
